Welcome! I'm Carrie, your resident nerd on this page and in real life. I am on a mission to round out my portfolio, so I welcome challenges in all realms of writing. I do keep a day job because my cats have expensive taste. I left oil & gas for the tech industry in 2015. I spent two years as a release notes manager, so I'm pretty good at translating developerspeak into non-technical words. I recently made the move into product management for a customer self-service website, so basically I'm translating non-technical words into developerspeak.
Outside of writing, I spend my time doing crosswords, checking out all the books at the Houston Public Library, listening to podcasts on my commute, eating my way through Houston's huge offering of amazing restaurants, training for (and sometimes actually completing) half marathons, and acting as a City Leader for the Houston Chapter of Lesbians Who Tech.
